Datum & Plane — B2B Site + Gated Admin Toolset

Open: 01_live-dashboards/datum-plane-owner-briefing.html (the Owner Briefing tool, self-contained)

Problem. A fabrication business needs a marketing site plus internal tools its owner actually uses to win and price work.

What I built. A Next.js 16 / React 19 / Tailwind 4 site with a protected admin panel exposing four business tools: Owner Briefing (competitive intelligence), Field Scope (walk-site cost estimator), Quote Builder (print-ready quotes), and Letter Templates (15 branded letters). Clean component architecture; admin routes server-rendered.

Why it matters. Demonstrates building gated internal tooling on top of a public product — the practical "tools the operator needs" instinct, with modern Next.js architecture.

Talk track (screen-share)

Datum and Plane is a fabrication company's site, but the interesting part is behind the login: a small admin panel with four tools the owner uses to run the business, a competitive briefing, a walk-site estimator, a quote builder, and branded letter templates. This is the open one. I include it to show I build the gated internal tooling around a product, not just the marketing front.

Note: the public Owner Briefing artifact uses fictional demo companies; the live tool runs on real account data.
